Hi
I am facing a problem with my own PDF file which has been restricted. I am not able to edit or print and it is an essential database. Please suggest how I can unlock PDF files without any data loss!
Click the Page Layout tab. Click the Page Setup Dialog Box Launcher. Click the Paper tab. Then click Print Options. Then click Advanced Then clear the Print in Background check box. Here’s how to prevent editing and/or printing of your PDF document: 1. Click Secure on the Adobe Acrobat toolbar and select Password Encrypt. When asked if you want to change the security on the document, click Yes. In the Permissions section, check the Restrict editing and printing of the document checkbox. The 'Permissions' setting controls restrictions that can be placed on the PDF file. To prevent printing of a PDF file. An administrator can disable or change the default value for any of the security settings using the 'Win2PDF Admin Utility' available for download at.

- Granted, you won't be unlocking the file itself per se, but you can generate an unlocked equivalent that can be edited and manipulated to your heart's content. First, open the document that you wish to unlock in Adobe Acrobat Reader and click File and then Print. Next, in the printers list, select 'Microsoft XPS Document Writer' and then click Print. If you try to use Adobe's PDF printer driver, it will detect that you are attempting to export a secured PDF to a fresh file and it will refuse to continue. Even third-party PDF print drivers tend to choke on such files. However, by using the XPS Document Writer, you effectively circumvent that check entirely, leaving yourself with an XPS output. Now, open the newly minted XPS file you have just created and simply repeat the printing process, only this time printing to PDF format.
- You're not able to print and edit this PDF file because it is locked with owner/permission password. Fortunately, owner password is pretty much easy to crack and there are so many programs designed for this purpose. Checkout this detailed guide for more information: http://www.mypdfsolutions.com/how-to-unlock-secured-pdf-file.htmlSource: Personal Experience :)
- You should try standalone PDF restriction remover tool. It removes all restrictions (print, copy, edit, extract, cut, etc) and owner password from pdf file without adobe acrobat or reader. Data quality and formatting retains as it is. Try the product here:
- Hello There,I would recommend this latest PDF password remover: http://www.mypdfsolutions.com/It works perfectly with new version of PDF files i.e. PDF files encrypted with 256bit AES encryption (my personal experience). And, you don't need to spend 29-30 USD for this program. If your PDF file is not confidential/sensitive and you're not much concerned about the file formatting, you can try free online services like PDFUNLOCK to unlock your secured PDF document.

- Yes, probably with the owner/permission password. This step-by-step instructable explains how to remove pdf password security in three easy steps: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Remove-PDF-Password-Security-PrintEditCo/It should definitely work if your PDF file is locked with only owner password.
- Try Foxit Reader http://www.foxitsoftware.com/Secure_PDF_Reader/ . Also right click on the mentioned PDF file and change file permission by giving rwx rights to everyone. See how to do it at http://www.wikihow.com/Change-File-Permissions-on-Windows-7

I have desktop versions of Office 2016 and I am having printing problems to an HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401DW on a Ethernet connection. I can print a document to the HP, but if I attempt to print a second document at a later time the application (Word, Excel, or Powerpoint) freezes up with a message that 'Word is preparing to background print to ...'. Opening the printer box reveals that the document is 'spooling'. I have let it 'spool' for hours. The Office app 'is not responding'. Attempts to close it produce options: Restart, Close or Wait. If you close or restart and attempt to print a document to the HP it will not print. If you restart the application and attempt to print the same document to a different printer on the network, it prints fine.
This happens with all types of files and documents, new and old and text documents with only the word 'test' in them. The only 'fix' is to reboot the computer. However you only get to print one job before it happens again.

This only happens when printing from an office 2016 application. If you print from other applications to this printer everything is fine. However, once this has started in an office application no other application can print to the HP 400. It only happens with Office 2016 desktop on an i5 based computer and a surface pro 4. We have other computers running Office 2013 that do not have this problem.
There are 2 other printers on the network; a HP p2035 and a Xerox Phaser 6280. Office 2016 prints to them or prints to a PDF without any problems.

I have reinstalled Office 2016. I have replaced printer drivers sourced from Microsoft and HP. I have downloaded and executed printer troubleshooters from both HP and Microsoft. Nothing has changed the behavior. I recently purchased a new i7 computer. Everything was perfect until I installed Office 2016 and then it immediately started happening again.
Please help!
